We have decided it might be a good idea for all of us to get to know each other a little bit better, so starting this week, we will be featuring interviews with some influential people in our industry.

Getting to know everything you never knew you always wanted to know.

First up was Storm Pedersen....

You hear of the triple treats...singers, actors and dancers. Storm has doubled this idea. After studying economics, he realized that he must follow his childhood dreams which involved all things dance, theatre and style. He then finished school with a degree in Ballet and teaching.

Storm has performed on many stages, but it wasn't satiating his hunger for the fashion world, so when he got the opportunity to work as a stylist, he took it and never looked back!

Since then, he has made a name for himself styling all kinds of events and shows from theatre to film. He is recognized as Loreal Paris's Norwegian Spokesperson as well as the Model's Coach on Norwegian Top Model.

But here's what you didn't know.....

Jeanette: What color are the walls in your bedroom?

Storm: They are in the process of being painted. they are Dark Grey....I love dark walls!

J: Do you like Scary Movies?

S: Sometimes, but I have to be in the mood....and I can't watch them alone!

J: Can you show me your scared face?

J: What was your first job?

S: I worked with elderly for a very short time....2 hours. I was 15, and not prepared for working in such a serious environment. So after 2 hours, I quit.

J: Assuming that you did have a past life, who do you think you were in that life?

S: An Egyptian Queen!

J: Well then your hieness, this next question should be easy....Diamonds or Pearls?

S: Diamonds of course...

J: Hypothetical: You and I are heading to the airport and we can go anywhere in the world that you want...I am paying. Where are we going?

S: Mauritius! Perfect place to relax, and not too touristy.

J: I am in...This California girl could use some sun!

J: What was your first word?

S: "Volvo Sucks"...my father drove an Opel. Must have gotten it from him.

J: Do you have any hidden talents?

S: Yes...Cher impression.

J: You HAVE to show me!!

S: Maybe later....

J: What shoes are you wearing this very minute?

S:They are Augusta.

J: I have been so busy and distracted since I moved here, I haven't been very good about practicing my Norwegian (which I am terribly embarrassed about)!!! Teach me an important Norwegian word or phrase that I need to know.

S: Bitsjh...pronounced and spelled the Norwegian way.

J: If you could only wear one color for the rest of your life, what would it be?

S: Easy...Black of course.

J: Do you drink coffee?

S: I have a love/hate relationship with coffee. I try not to...

J: Do you have a favorite picture of anything? Something that just makes you happy to look at. It can be of yourself.

S: It's too hard to pick just one picture. I have a wall in my apartment filled with editorial pics of Italian Vogue and other things that inspire me. I like to experiment with pictures, and these give me inspiration.

J: What time do you wake up in the morning?

S: 7:30 without an alarm clock. Started waking up earlier after turning 30. I wake up, have coffee and start my day by "vogue-ing".

J: That must start your days out in a great mood.

S: Everyday!

J: If you could be remembered for one thing, what would it be?

S: "alt går i grisen" which is an ironic norwegian phrase referring to food. Basically means to eat anything and not be too picky. I look at in the way of not taking yourself too seriously. Trying anything once..... in life or in food!

J: I like that! Now I have learned 2 new Norwegian things today!! Perfect!

J: Lastly, I want you to show us what we should wear for a job interview.

S: If it is an interview in the fashion industry, then I think anything goes as long as it's not too overwhelming. I think layers are best, neutral tones and classic shapes.

We had such a great time hanging out and getting to know each other. Being around him, you really do see how he could be remembered by the words, "alt går i grisen". He doesn't take himself too seriously, and you can't help but feel free in his presence.
Sometimes you just need that.

"The Architecture of Loss is about formation and disintegration, the physical manifestations of "losing" and all that implies. Both formal and emotional, the work reaches for the immediacy and unpredictability of 'disappearing' through constantly morphing, visceral structures."

The production is playing at the Joyce Theatre in NYC from March 6th-11th, and plan to lunch the Nordic tour this August.

2012 American Grammys.....Incredible Performance!

Every year the when the award season begins, I become the girl equivalent to a football fan in anticipation of seeing their favorite teams kick some ass.....Only in my case, the "Super Bowl" is the Grammys.

There is no other award show like it. My favorite thing is always the way they pair unexpected artists together for performances. It all became an obsession of mine back in 2007 when John Mayer, John Legend, and Corinne Bailey Ray performed together.

They pair people together in a way that no other award show does.

I was finally able to watch the award last night online and this year, my favorite performance was the very talked about finale with David Guetta, Lil Wayne, Deadmau5, Foo Fighters, and Chris Brown all performing together.

It was so good, I had to share!

Holzweiler Agenturer is now representing the Danish Jewelry line, and could not be more in love with the collection!

For the last 5 years, Line Hallberg and Jo Riis-Hansen have been changing the way we look at fine jewelry. Mixing diamonds, silver and gold with spikes and chains is what makes Line & Jo so unique and keeps the girls coming back to make more and more "new friends" each season!

Last night after getting home form the Nåløyet Show (where Cala & Jade won in the accessories category!!! More details here...), I was flipping through the Feb issue of Henne Magazine and saw the one and only Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looking as beautiful as ever wearing The Shane jean from Genetic Denim!

I always loved her style, but I love it even more now that I see she has great taste in denim!

There really isn't a more fitting way to view the Gestuz collection than accompanied by the melancholy sounds of a rock band.

It seems this Fall the collection will feature a more baroquian feeling showcasing a dark glamorous style. The long skirts and dresses, dark prints, silks and black lace, and feminine play on the use of leather give the collection a modern rock harlot vibe....I for one am a obsessed!

This season, Holzweiler Agenturer is proud to add Cala & Jade to the list of amazing brands in the agency.

Designers Nina Amble Sandaas and Tina C. Skaar met while studying together at ESMOND here in Oslo, and joined forces to realize their mutual childhood dream of starting their own line.

It was their "fascination for all things leather" mixed with their "obsession to develop new material technique" that eventually became an essential part of their philosophy and lead to the creation of Cala & Jade.

The Gumma is an example of one of their innovative creations. A leather frame with interchangeable bags to match your moods, or the season.

Cala & Jade are also nominated for this years Nåløyet Award in the accessories category. Follow us to see pics of the event as well as the announcement of the winners.

New Addition: L & J Collection

The husband and wife duo behind this brand have not just made a small splash into the Norwegian market since the debut of their collection in 2010, they caused a tidal wave!

Norwegian born Linne Røsstad Sharpe, and former New Yorker Jason Sharpe, are no strangers to design. After meeting in Paris, the pair stayed in constant contact through numerous fashion jobs with top names such as Yigal Azrouel, Cerruti, Levi's, Hermes, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, among many others.

It's their quality of fabrics and care taken in production that have earned them the Oslo Fashion Week SS12 Newcomers of the Year award and nominated for the current Nåløyet 2012 which is sponsered by Henne magazine.

They are also working with Heimen and Oslo Fashion Week as part of THE COOL PROJECT (more on this soon) to promote the use of wool in Norway while using traditional design in a technological way.

Over the weekend, the local artists known as The Stupid Mammals created this city street scene using just spray paint!

First and most importantly.....Happy New Year! Skål til 2012!

In NYC they drop that giant ball in Times Square, and here in Oslo, I got to enjoy the balls of snow which seemed to begin falling right as the countdown hit 3....2....1. That mixed with the fireworks that surrounded the city made for an incredible evening! But it also meant one other thing....here comes the snow!

Being from California, I am taking advice from all of the pros on how to keep warm in the upcoming months. From what I understand, there is only one way to stay warm and that is by layering yourself in leather and wool.

Elle Magazine shares some beautiful and unique options for women inspired by the originals worn by pilots in the early 20th century. This Muubaa jacket takes what is traditionally a masculine look and gives us girls a luxe and femme version.

Et nytt år står for døren og vi ønsker å takke for 2011.
Det er gått 1 år siden vi fikk nye utsikter på Brygga på
Lysaker. Vi elsker å være her og håper også at dere har satt pris på de nye
vakre omgivelsene våre.

2012 blir et vendepunkt for oss i Holzweiler Agenturer. Vi
har lenge drømt om å starte vårt eget merke og i februar presenterer vi vår
første skjerf kolleksjon!
Selveste Mamma Holzweiler, Gro- tok utfordringen som produksjonsansvarlig
på strak arm. 16 oktober reiste hun sammen med Lisa til
India for å finne de fineste kvalitetene og de rette produsentene. 10 dager senere returnerte de med kofferter
fulle av de mest fantastiske kvaliteter rett fra New Delhi- til hytta på
Tempelseter. Her ventet resten av gjengen og
to dagers workshop der alle bidro til å skape vår aller første skjerf
kolleksjon.

11.11.11 var det deadline. Kvaliteter, farger, prints og
skisser ble sendt av gårde til våre produsenter i India. I skrivende stund
venter vi i spenning på å få de første vareprøver i hus.

Kolleksjonen spenner bredt i uttrykk da vi har valgt å inngå
et samarbeid med både modell Alexandra Ørbeck Nilsen og hennes bistandsprosjekt
i Namibia – samt Street-Art kunstner Martin Whatson som begge har designet
fantastiske prints.

Vi har også en helt ny måte å presentere og selge skjerf på- men dette røper vi
ikke helt enda…

If you have seen the pictures from our agency’s surprise Christmas Trip to Berlin, you are probably thinking 1 of 2 things:

1. That you want a new job that will surprise you with a holiday getaway to Berlin!

2. Who is that brunette?....I have never seen her before!”

Well, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jeanette and I just moved to Oslo from sunny California, which is why you are reading this in English. I still have quite a ways to go with my norwegian. If you see me in public with head phones on and repeating the norwegian words for the days of the week or attempting to ask which way “Parliament Street” is, then that means I have made it to lesson 3 on my audio lessons....and I am actually making progress! So try not to laugh (even though I probably would if I were on the other side of that scenario), because it may actually work.

I will be working in the showroom, handling this blog and any other online contact you may have with us as well as press. I promise to keep you all up to date with any happenings here in our beautiful showroom, with our collections, the incredible stores who carry our lines or just with random facts you may need to know.

Make sure that you check in daily. My goal is to make sure our followers are the first to know about new seasons merchandise hitting the boutiques as well as the first invites to all of our sample sales (and let’s be honest, being the first to know is always the best!). Additionally, I hope to be able to offer you incredible deals in between our sample sales as well. So, just think of us as your personal stop for all fashion insider information.

Please feel free to always let me know your thoughts, concerns, dreams, hopes, wishes...whatever the case may be. Let’s get friendly because I plan on being here for a while. That being said, I hope you like what I have to say!

BERLIN BABY!

Vi har hatt to fantastiske dager i Berlin!

Her er vi like ved Alexander Platz, og lokalet bak oss ser ut som et tomt butikk lokalet, men her ligger en av Europas feteste butikker, Appartment. Hele over etagen til Appartment er nesten tom, den huser kun en vindeltrapp som tar deg ned i en mørk underetage, det er ikke lov å ta bilder der (og de er veldig strenge på det), så dette må bare oppleves! Det ble et dyrt men veldig inspirerende møte..

Vi elsker shopping i Berlin!

Område rundt Aleksander platz er vår favoritt og spesielt Mülack strasse som vi fant dag 2 <3

Oliv er vår favoritt lunsj cafe! Deilig mat, nydelig kaffe og god karma,

we will be back!

Tiltross for mange trendy cafeer i Berlin så er et besøk på en deutsch kneipe et MUST! Vi var innom flere men dette ble vår favoritt.

For ikke å glemme julemarkedene som er overalt i desember, Berlin har hele 80 stk!

Hvor skal vi?

Onsdag og Torsdag denne uken er showrommet på Lysaker stengt fordi vi kombinerer julebord med teamtur og inspirasjon.

Som mange vet elsker vi overaskelser hos oss, så ingen bortsett fra Andreas og jeg vet hvor vi skal, de har bare fått beskjed om å pakke for 2 dager og å huske pass...

Forrige uke var Line og jeg på kvelds besøk hos jentene på Skafferiet på Hovinsholm.

Dette er et helt fantastisk sted jeg virkelig anbefaler alle å ta seg en tur til! og nå har de åpent tors- søndag helt frem til jul!

Vi fikk servert fantastisk hjemmelaget pai, nydelig salat og ordentlig gårdspresset eplejuice fra Gården på Hovinsholm.

I tilegg til lunsj, kaffe og de deiligste hjemmelagde kaker får du kjøpt alt fra deilige matvarer, bøker, julepynt, interiør klær og smykker.. så her er noe for enhver smak og masse julegaver!

Denne høsten har vi startet et nytt kapittel i Holzweiler agenturer som dere kommer til å få høre veldig mye mere om i 2012.

For noen uker siden var Mamma og Lisa i Delhi for så å samle oss alle for felles workshop på hytta.

I dag 11.11.11 er vår deadline for å bli ferdig så vi kan få presentert et flunkende nytt konsept for dere i 2012.

Etter å ha tilbakelagt Tynset, Trondheim, Kristiansund, Molde og Ålesund, går turen til Remy og Christian videre nedover Vestlandet og Bergen. Den 11-dager lange road-trippen med neste års sommer kolleksjoner fortsetter..

Jeg har vært på Bærums verk i dag i den super fine butikken Miin, og der finnes ikke bare masse fint til oss jenter men du kan shoppe sammen (eller til) kjæresten din også! For Karen satser på gutta og det liker vi!

Så vegg i vegg med den fantastiske butikken Miin ligger Minn mann.

Her er noe for enhver smak så hvorfor ikke legge julegave shoppingen til Bærums verk og Miin?

De har fortsatt noen få stk igjen av det populære am flag skjerfet til Hunkydory.

Bra dager på Brygga!

Fra September har Veslemøy startet å jobbe hos hos hver dag fra 9-13. Veslemøy er utrolig positiv og blid, det er ofte hun som tar telefonen når dere ringer oss, hun svarer på kundeservice mail, sender ut klær pressen skal låne, lager deilig lunsj til oss og sørger for at showrommet ser bra ut til enhver tid og at det er god stemning her med sitt utrolig positive vesen!

Ingen dager på brygga er like, og vi er så heldig å få besøk av så mange fantastiske mennesker!

Her er Sara Chacko på besøk sammen med Trine Berge fra Supernature. (mest kjent som super Sara og super Trine som har lært oss alt vi kan om super foods og sørget for at flere av oss på brygga er blitt hekta på grønne super sunne drikker)

Jeg tror ikke jeg kjenner noen som er så proppfulle av positiv energi som Trine og Sara, alltid en fryd når de kommer innom!

Erlend fra Laundry er på innkjøp av Humör.

Her ser dere tante Mimmi (det er mange i familien som bidrar i agenturet vårt :)) og Mari Marthe. Tante Mimmi sørger for at alle regninger betales i tide.

Vi fikk også besøk av super søte Linda Wickmann som fikk låne noen godbiter fra vår kolleksjonene våre som skal brukes til de første moteseriene for våren.

Så som dere ser, ingen dager er like her hos oss, og det liker vi!

Herligheten drives av to herlige damer, Jaqueline og Hanne!

Og etter litt shopping på Herligheten anbefales en deilig lunsj hos Mats & Martin, og er været fint som det var i dag må du sette deg ut i hagen dems med denne fantastiske utsikten.

Remy har besøk av fantastiske cafe Liebling på Grünerløkka som i tilegg til deilig lunsj og god kaffe også selger klær fra bl.a Humör.

Super team på logistik Pappa Holzweiler og Mari Marthe, sørger for at høstens nyheter kommer ut i butikkene hver eneste uke:)

Endelig har vi fått Genetic denim på huset! Jeg har på meg min favoritt i dag. Råere og mere behagelige jeans finner du ikke! Genetic denim er det nyeste brandet på huset og vi lover en egen post om dette veldig snart...

Pappa Holzweiler er fornøyd etter dagens utsendelser av andersen & lauth høst varer.

Jan Lillehamre tar nye bilder til websiden vår, så innen en liten uke er den oppdatert:)

Og når både mamma Line og pappa Jan er på jobb som må jo vakre Frida være med<3 noe vi andre er veldig glade for :)

En stille stund

Denne vakre skulpturen er laget av Thor Sandborg i 1977.

Skulpturen har vært vist mange steder i norge og i utlandet.

I 1977 var Thor Sandborg representert med denne på statens høstutstilling.

Den gangen var skulpturen laget i sink og tinn.

Senere ble den utstilt i studenterlunden i Oslo og da ble den omstøpt i bronse.

Nå er det vi som er de heldige og har fått skulpturen utstilt hos oss på Lysaker brygge.

Skulpturen er fremdeles i kunstnerens eie.

Det var veldig rart å skulle starte hverdagen denne uken. Vi hadde en rolig start mandag hvor vi brukte mye av dagen på å snakke og vi sendte våre tanker til de som har mistet sine umistelige.
